2.1) HH Dalai Lama for his 85th birthday and his aspiration to live to 110 years, his Holiness asks for individuals to recite the recite the six syllables mantra 1,000 times
2.2) Prajnaparamitra the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, the Mantra that dispels Obstacles: (Session 4 of 6)
This Sutra, the 2nd turning of the wheel of Dharma was taught by the Buddha at Mass Vultures Peak in Rajagriha. It was transmitted orally & only written down a 100 years or so after the Buddhas death. Written in Sanscrit the Mantra is “Tayatha Om Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Soha”
The literal English translation is “Go, Go, Perfectly Go, Perfectly & Completely Go to the paths to Enlightenment. The answer for those with minds of lower faculties has 5 parts.
The Five Paths of a person on the Mahayana paths to enlightenment & how to practise the Perfection of Wisdom are :
1) The Path of Preparation
2) The Path of Accumulation
3) The Path of Seeing
4) The Path of Meditation
5) The Path of no more Learning
The meditation on the 4 Profundities of the aggregates of form;
‘Form is empty; emptiness is form. Emptiness is not other than form; form also is not other than emptiness. Likewise, feeling, discrimination, compositional factors, and conciosness are empty’.
‘Shariputra, like this all phenomena are merely empty, having no characteristics. They have no defilement & no separation from defilement. They have no decrease & no increase.
